To meet the needs of variety of SDS constituencies (including individuals and institutions), different payment methods will be accepted for the 2010 conference registration.

The 23rd annual conference for the Society for Disability Studies is anticipated to bring together more than 500 scholars, activists, artists, writers, and others interested in disability studies. Participants come from all across the United States and countries outside the U.S.

Philadelphia's historic culture and beauty in late spring will make the conference experience thoroughly enjoyable for participants visiting Pensylvania. For the lodging accommodations, SDS will provide multiple experiences, integrated experience for conference visitors wishing to stay on campus as well as an experience for those wishing to take in downtown Philadelphia. Designed to keep budgets in mind, the official conference venues provide diversity and comfort.
SDS strives to make all of its conference events accessible. In addition to requesting information about needed accommodations by conference speakers, variety of options such as captioning, ASL, and programs in alternative formats are made available to conference registrants.
Conference participants who wish to hire personal attendant services should ask for a list of local vendors at Registration. A few representative vendors have been e-maield to participants who indicated that they require assistance in seeking such services. Read more
