Society for Disability Studies

The Society for Disability Studies is proud to welcome you to its 22nd annual conference. Whether you are a presenter, performer, participant, artist, or an activist interested in disability studies, you will find that the 2009 annual conference has a great deal to satisfy your interests. The 2009 conference will cover such diverse topics as disabilities and the media, music and disabilities, as well as international topics sure to attract many research and community interests such as those represented by the rapidly growing independent living movement. As in the past, the annual conference will also blend the unique nature of the host city into the experience.

The conference will be held from June 17, 2009 to June 20, 2009 at Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort.

The conference facility at El Conquistador is newly renovated and provides room for plenary sessions as well as breakout rooms. Overlooking the city of Tucson and located in the Catalina foothills, the conference facility provides a mixture of business and pleasure.
